So this week, the roomie and I will put a security deposit down for our future townhouse! How exciting ;-) It's so cute, I can't wait til August to move in. And it turns out, there'll actually be alot of people from the school of music living there, so it'll be nice to have friendly neighbors again, lol.
I got a B on my last math test--normally, I pull C's even when I do the hw, lol. And I got a B on my mock Theory midterm, so maybe for the real thing, I can pull off an A. Hope so! :-P
Saturday is the NATS competition...not sure what to think of it yet, I'll just try to do well...shooting to place again. I'd like to get 1st or 2nd. I always like to hear voice students from other schools, to see how they size up against USF. We shall see...
Over spring break, I'm gonna cut my hair again. It's gonna be short, lol. Well, not boy-like short, or anything crazy, just something a little different. Then over the summer, I'll prob'ly grow it out again like it was back in high school.
So Stetson is doing the same Opera we are, and their performance dates are this weekend-I think some of our cast might try to see it.
Topics from the message last night.. A True Friend.. -helps you when you're down -helps you emotionally/physically at any time -will fight to protect you & your real reputation -is committed to helping you grow spiritually
To be a friend, be: -Loyal -Trustworthy -Honest -Sympathetic -Faithful
Too much reliance on someone, undercuts our direct dependence and need for God in our lives. Every relationship needs three cords--you, the other person & God.

In my opinion, sleeping in is one of the best things to do in the world. :-) I just got up-it's about 11am. I really can't remember the last time I was able to do this-seems like there's always something to do, or somewhere to go. Anyway, I do have to be productive today-I've got a pretty big test on Monday, and midterms for one class on Tuesday and Thursday. Then when Saturday rolls around, my voice studio is going to a Vocal Competition..it's an annual thing. And next Monday, I have to have all my singing and lines memorized from the Opera. :-P Spring Break is right around the corner though! Only 3 weeks to go. And I know they'll fly by-I just have to remind myself to take it one day at a time. That's all I got for now ;-)

so its nice to hear that after i think i did an alright job singing a song, that i did a little better than i thought. :) anyway...i dont think ill be going to church tonight. after i got home around 3, i was on autopilot for a while, and didn't get much done, which means i need to study and so forth, for another long day tomorrow. i've been napping and watching tv...interrupted a few times by random phone calls. anywayeeeee...ive decided im gonna join the music sorority in the fall...i fought with the idea for the better part of last semester, and i think it would have some benefits in the end. i also think im grounded enough to get my work done and be in a social setting like that. plus, i know the majority of the girls in it--and i really miss the comraderie i had with my keyettes group in high school. plus, SAI is way cheaper than all the other sororities on campus, which is a big plus if youre like me, and still have a membership with the Bank of Mommy and Daddy. ;) alright, i really should get some work done now...have a nice night!

 So yeah. I had a bit of a crazy weekend. Not too bad though. I'm telling you, I must be getting old--I can't take this going to sleep at 5am business and getting up early the next day. So 2 of my favorite people came to visit me. Friday night we went out to eat (our poor waiter: we got there at 11:55, and they close at midnight, lol). Then we headed to Ybor..(which I hadn't visited in months), and got in VIP at a club, but it was ridiculously gay, so we left, lol, and went to my personal favorite, Prana. Oh man--we ran into a girl that we went to high school with, which was reeeeally weird, and I saw another guy I used to hang out with alot last year, which was kinda cool. So needless to say, we didn't get much sleep-and then my Nazi roommates were up at like 8 something, and woke Geo up since he was banished to the couch. We went out for a late breakfast/lunch, started driving around, and found a really nice mall, in which we hung around in for a while..then me and Geo saw the movie Hitch while Jess went to see a "friend" for a little bit, lol. She got trapped-his Mom was there, and she didn't have much choice. Anyway, after all that, we were planning on visiting Channelside, but I could barely keep my eyes open, we ended up back at my place and just hung out til about 1am I think. By the way, Hitch is HILARIOUS, you should definitely see it. :D We all agreed that the next weekend should be planned out a little better, lol. I'm hoping we'll get down to Miami for a few days during Spring Break. This week is gonna be a little crazy, 1 quiz down, 3 quizzes and 2 tests to go. Wish me luck!

So, yeah. Why do I always end up with psycho roommates?? WHYYYYYYYY. lol..no, its not that bad, just annoying..some things have happened within the past few days that have been brought to everyone's attention for no real reason. It's retarded. I can't wait til Marisa & I have our own cute little town house! Only a few more months of weirdness. Speaking of which..well not the weirdness part, but we're gonna go check out the place we think we might move into tomorrow. Exciting! I'm sure it'll work out for the best. Ooh! And on another good note, Jess is coming to visit me this weekend! Yay :D I'm really excited: we're going to stay a night with her friend whose house is on one of the streets that the Gasparilla parade goes through, so I'll get to see what their version of Mardi Gras is, lol. I'm sure it'll be fun. That's about it for now...gonna go bum around for a while... ;)

So I feel a taaaad bit out of it today, lol. Not upset about anything...just tired mostly. Well, today was normal, nothing too exciting. Besides the fact that I had a lesson in the Alexander Technique! It was so friggen cool--it's all about posture; the way you sit, stand, lie down. It was all very interesting--and a very handy tool for singers like myself. I'm determined to buy books on it, and do more research-it's actually really important in the grand scheme of performing. Blah, ok...I'm really tired, and I have work to do before Church. Hopefully I can snap out of this. :/

I'm hangin around right now...not getting much done, lol. Then again, I don't have much to do...at all. I think I might straighten my hair. This weekend was good--went out to dinner and saw The Aviator w/Geo and Jess...scratch that, I saw parts of the movie..we left about halfway through..just wasn't my cup of tea. Plus Geo was asleep by the opening credits, lol. So I've decided since part of my Spring Break, I'll be locked up in Opera rehearsals, I wanna go to Miami for a few days--hit the beach and so forth. I'm sure it'll work out. :) I entered a contest to win Opera tickets, so we'll see what happens. If not, then maybe my friends'll come visit me. Well the halftime show is on--I gotta go! :D

| man, I love the Bible |
| 02.04.05 (7:10 am) [edit] |
My lover is radiant and ruddy, outstanding among ten thousand. His head is purest gold; his hair is wavy and black as a raven. His eyes are like doves by the water streams, washed in milk, mounted like jewels. His cheeks are like beds of spice yielding perfume. His lips are like lilies dripping with myrhh. His body is like polished ivory decorated with sapphires. His legs are pillars of marble set on bases of pure gold. His appearance is Lebanon, choice as its cedars. His mouth is sweetness itself; he is altogether lovely.
Song of Songs is one big love story... ;)

So I had a good voice lesson today. Amazing, considering my prof. is a crazy old lady who has a temper, lol. But it was good...I love Tuesdays..they're so easy compared to the rest of the week, with the exception of Friday. Anyway, Opera rehearsal was a little rough yesterday--it's weird, I feel more comfortable singing for an audience than I do some of the upperclassmen in the production. Intimidation, I guess. Not to the point where I can't do it though, I suppose it could be worse. So this coming weekend, I'm going home again, to see an open to the public rehearsal of Orlando Opera's production, The Mikado. Kinda excited about that. :D It'll be nice to hear some pro singers from my hometown. Hopefully in a few years I'll be in a Young Artists program with a simliar company. Oh, and Thursday my Aunt and I gonna start a long-distance Bible Study, lol (She lives in Indiana). But I'm excited, it'll be a great thing to look forward to,and be challenged by--she's a wonderful influence. :) Alright, that's about all for now, I have hw to catch up on, and hopefully I can hit the gym.
